Artist Statement

Multi-disciplined Artist William Honkanen works in New York City. Inspiration for latest body of work found in the electricity of the city, both past and present. 1984 Fashion illustrator for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar Magazine & Advertising Artwork for Celine of Paris. New York was filed with Raw energy during the late 1980’s and early 90’s. During this time, attracted the attention of MTV. The budding world of computer graphics was just awakening from analog into a new digital reality. Fascinated by this new medium,1990’s pioneer in computer assisted artwork. Brooklyn Academy of Music, BAM, Esquire Magazine. Fine art exhibited in New York City, East Village, Chelsea group shows and Artist studio gallery in Chelsea Hotel. Latest series of Abstract artworks are now available as a limited edition of high quality Giclee prints, printed on the finest archival acid free paper, printed at the word renowned Duggal Printing in New York City.
